Please help...my wife has two pinhead type black spots one on her arm,and one on her leg. She claims these were freckles..they are raised as if you could pick them off. She said the one on her arm is painless, but the one on her leg is painful..she holidayed in gran canaria last October, and Tenerife February this year.thanks in anticipation.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Just wait and watch. It is the best strategy right now.
It can be an insect bite, it can be a mole or it can be a non-specific lesion. The only part of the worry is the infection and it has to be watched; if the area is becoming red and more painful then it can be considered as an infection. For the skin condition clinical examination is the apt thing to do.
Without this nothing can be said for sure.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
